Officer Designations and Authority
This topic will discuss the appointment process under Provincial Offences Act and Police Services Act. In addition, it will include a look at the authority granted to Parking Enforcement Officers by virtue of being deemed Provincial Offences Officers and Peace Officers. This topic will also discuss the impact that the Criminal Code and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms has on the duties of parking enforcement officers.
Being a Good Officer
This topic will discuss the makeup of a "good officer". It will include understanding the importance of knowing why you do what you do, both from a customer service standpoint and your own personal and professional outlook.
