MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is difficult to believe it is almost July and that we are halfway through 2008 already !!!!

It was good to see many of you at the Annual Convention and AGM held June
1 – 3 in Oakville. We believe the event was a great success and on behalf of your Board of Directors I would like to thank everyone that contributed.

Our special thanks to Adam Bell who led the Local Arrangements Committee and Marco D’Angelo who expended a great deal of time and effort to ensure the event ran smoothly and was a positive experience for all who attended.

Your Board is already starting to work on the 2009 event and are close to deciding on the location. To assist us in preparing for next year we encourage feedback from you on what you liked about this years event, what changes and improvements you would like to see and any other comments you would like to share with us that will assist us.

The Parking Committee and Traffic Engineering Committee members are also very busy preparing for their upcoming workshops in Stratford September 14th- 16th and in Alliston October 16th respectively. Please register and take full advantage of these excellent workshops. Your attendance and participation validates all of the hard work that goes into these events.

I am pleased to announce the 2008/2009 Board of Directors and their assigned positions:

It is a absolute privilege and a pleasure to be given the opportunity to serve you in the capacity of President of the OTC for an additional year. It is also rewarding to know that I will have the benefit of working with a hard working, dedicated and committed Board of Directors on your behalf as we begin addressing the may priorities facing us in the coming year.
